About ChoreBucks

The Company

ChoreBucks is developed by OsJoL Oy, a software company based in Kangasala, Finland. Founded by Oskari Lähde, a father of two who built the app to solve his own family's allowance management challenges.

What started as a personal project in 2024 has grown into an app used by over 1,400 families across more than 10 countries — with paying subscribers from Finland, Sweden, Norway, the United States, and beyond.

ChoreBucks (known as Askareet in Finland) is a family allowance and chore management app for iOS and Android. Children complete household chores, earn allowance, care for virtual pets, and learn financial responsibility — while parents maintain full control with one-tap approvals.
